Flasks and cylinders are analysed back at NIWA Greta point Gaslab. The sampling was established in November 1989.\n\nSamples are only taken when wind is from the Northerly sector and above 5kts. High pressure cylinders: ~1600psi in 30 litre cylinders and low-pressure flask samples taken (~5 litres, 25 psi in 2 litre flask). Air samples in the Cylinders & Flasks shipped to New Zealand regularly. Analysis performed at NIWA's GASLAB located at Greta Point Wellington. Analysis by Gas chromatography (GC) and isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS). A semi-automated flask sampling system was installed in February 2017, allowing extra flask samples with minimal operator intervention.\n\nInstrument coordinates (-77.83, 166.67)\n\nGET DATA: g.brailsford@earthsciences.nz", "keywords":[ "INSTALLATION","K085A","ANTARCTICA","ROSS ISLAND","GROUND STATIONS","FLASKS","ATMOSPHERIC CARBON MONOXIDE","CARBON DIOXIDE","CARBON MONOXIDE","METHANE","TRACE GASES\/TRACE SPECIES","NITROUS OXIDE" ] ,"creator": [ { "@type":"Person" ,"name": "Smale, D." ,"email": ["dan.smale@earthsciences.nz"] ,"contactPoint": { "@type" : "PostalAddress" } } ] ,"publisher": [ { "@type":"Organization" ,"name": "Earth Sciences New Zealand" ,"email": [""] ,"contactPoint": { "@type" : "PostalAddress" } } ] ,"distribution": [ { "@type":"DataDownload", "contentUrl": "", "encodingFormat": "WWW:LINK-1.0-http--link", "name": "Distribution Metadata" { "@type":"DataDownload", "contentUrl": "https:\/\/antcat.antarcticanz.govt.nz\/geonetwork\/srv\/eng\/catalog.search#\/metadata\/c912b420-66fc-4724-ae9a-c452fca9e09c", "encodingFormat": "WWW:LINK-1.0-http--link", "name": "Distribution Metadata" }] ,"encodingFormat": [ ] ,"spatialCoverage": [ {"@type":"Place", "description": [ ], "geo": [ {"@type":"GeoShape", "box": "-77.9203 166.3168 -77.7584 167.1826" } ] }] ,"temporalCoverage": [ "1989-11-21T00:00:00/" ] ,"license": [ { "@type": "CreativeWork", "name": "This data set conforms to the CC BY-NC Attribution License (https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-nc\/4.0\/)" } ] , "citation": "Brailsford, G., Smale, D., ( 2023 ) In Situ Flask and Cylinder Air Sampling: Greenhouse Gases and Isotopes, Antarctica, 1989-Present.
