    "description": "A total of 210 individual soil samples (sampled stratigraphically in layers 0-2 cm, 2-4 cm etc) were collected from 10 pit locations and split into subsamples for organic pollutant, metal and microplastic analysis. In-situ organic remains (total of 13 eggshell fragments, 3 bone samples, and 18 feather samples) were collected from the pits for radiocarbon dating. Pits were dug to ice-cement, which ranged from 60 cm to 112 cm.
