Samples were collected using a stainless-steel scoop and stainless-steel funnel to fill each 500\u2009mL bottle with snow from the top 2\u2009cm of the surface. Suspected microplastic particles were isolated and their composition confirmed using micro-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (\u00B5FTIR). Concentrations are provided as microplastic particles per litre.
