    "description": "This metadata record describes daily Conductivity\u2013Temperature\u2013Depth (CTD) casts conducted in McMurdo Sound, Antarctica, during the 2024 field season. The time-series provides an unusually high-resolution dataset on the vertical structure of the coastal water column. Preliminary results indicate that, even within a 30 m water column, measurable stratification was present. Mean seawater temperature was approximately \u22121.918 \u00B0C at a salinity of 34.69, with dissolved oxygen near 85 % saturation and pH \u2248 8.3.
