    "description": "ADCP data from mooring in Wilson Canyon, Ross Sea. RDI Workhorse 300 kHz ADCP moored ~50 m above seafloor in a downward facing configuration. Mooring also contained CTD, sediment trap and turbidity meter. \n\nVariables measured: current direction, magnitude, backscatter strength, instrument tilt, temperature.\n \nDeployed during TAN2302 voyage (31 January 2023), recovered during LB2401 voyage (14 February 2024). \n\nAim of project is to understand sediment transport via dense water flows from the shelf to the deep ocean, facilitated by submarine canyons. \n\nCollaboration between the New Zealand Antarctic Science Platform, NIWA and the University of Plymouth. \n\nGET DATA: scott.nodder@niwa.co.nz",
